These yummy treats have hints of banana, peanut butter and what LOOKS like chocolate. That’s the surprise, chocolate free but sure looks like it, and 100% dog safe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Careful though, your dog loving friends might knock these treats right out of your hand as you offer them to your pup, (or you may even be tempted to try one yourself). You’ll have to reassure them that the chocolate look alike on top is just melted carob.<\/p>\n\n\n

Banana, Peanut Butter and Carob Easter Surprise Dog Treats<\/h2><\/div>

Ingredients<\/h3>

    1 banana- mashed<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • <\/span>

    1 cup Oat Flour<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • <\/span>

    2\/3 cup rolled or flaked oats<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • <\/span>

    ½ cup fresh chopped parsley<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • <\/span>

    3 tablespoons of natural peanut butter<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • <\/span>

    1 egg-beaten<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • <\/span>

    ½ cup carob chips-melted<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/div>

    Directions<\/h3>
    • Preheat Oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit or 160 degrees Celcius<\/li>
    • Mash the banana<\/li>
    • Place the oat flour, oats, parsley, peanut butter and egg in a bowl. Add the banana and mix well.<\/li>
    • Roll into 1” round balls. (You will want to remove jewelry; this stuff is sticky.)<\/li>
    • Place on a lined cookie sheet.<\/li>
    • Bake in 300F degrees (150C) oven for 40 minutes until slightly golden on the outside.<\/li>
    • Allow to cool.<\/li>
    • In a double boiler or using a pot with water in the bottom and a bowl on top over low heat, melt carob chips. Use a spatula to mix until smooth. TIP: Carob crystalizes over high heat so keep your heat on low\/low-medium.<\/li>
    • Dip balls in melted carob and set on parchment paper.<\/li>
    • Chill in fridge. Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>
